Abenaki Farm is honored to welcome Lucy Davies, assistant trainer to Chelise Storace, at Cressbrook Stables, to our farm for a Hunter/Jumper Clinic, February 26th, at 10:00 am. Lucy began riding at age five, in Kingswinford, England. She rode and evented until she went to university where she pursued a degree in fashion. After graduating, she moved to London and from there to the United States. In 2007, she became an assistant trainer to Chelise, head trainer/instructor at Kensington Equestrian Center and student of George Morris. Lucy is a licensed instructor in Massachusetts and has ridden in clinics with Jeff Cook and George Morris. Her students compete in all rings and at all levels. She also has a passion for taking her students on trail rides, hunter paces, to the beach and other adventures out of the ring. Lucy has enjoyed training and showing her three-yr-old Warmblood, Charlie, and working all the babies for Chelise. She consistently competes at Vermont Summer Festival and Fieldstone in the open hunter derbies. The clinic is already filling up so please contact the farm for information on how to schedule your clinic time! This is going to be great!

A Great Visit from Denmark!!

admin January 17th, 2012

What a great visit we had, earlier this month, with Charlotte Gaardhøje Østergaard, from Denmark! Charlotte actually lived/worked on this farm 17 years ago and stopped by with her parents while in the States, to say hello. It was such a gift to visit with this wonderful, bright and kind family! Thanks for the visit! We hope to see you again!

Welcome Sue and Josie!!

admin January 17th, 2012

We’re so excited to welcome Sue Berube and Josie, her gorgeous and sweet, 3-yr-old TB/Holsteiner mare! Sue and her daughter, Sydney, enjoy competing on the Hunter/Jumper circuit in the Summer. For now, Sue is enjoying her training with Josie, in addition to skiing with her family at Loon! She’s “jumped” right in to the Abenaki swing of things by already participating in a Tom Davis clinic, last month! Both Sue and Josie are also enjoying learning all about the importance of natural horsemanship and how it applies to all disciplines. They are both very fast learners and so fun to work with! Welcome Sue! We’re so happy you and Josie are part of the barn family!
