Abenaki Farm & Stables offers the following services:

Boarding

Focusing on your horses’ safety and overall health, the 115-acre farm comprised of open areas, plus wooded and riverside trails, offers full board for $500 per month in our stable of 21, 12x 12 matted stalls. We feed Poulin grain 2x/day, hay 2-3x/day, and provide all-day turnout. Board also includes full use of facilities; indoor arena, round pen, outdoor arena, cross-country jump course, stadium jump course, heated grooming area with hot/cold wash stall, plus a heated tack room and lounge. The farm owner/manager, is on-site, which means your horse is well cared for at all times – including night checks! Boarders are welcome to choose which farrier and veterinarian, instructor or trainer they’d like to use.

Lessons

Our lesson program has something for everyone! Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned rider, you will find the right instruction here. Our lesson program includes both English and Western and are offered by professional, experienced and courteous horse people. Hourly rates and package rates are offered, making it flexible for all people with the desire to ride.

Safety and horsemanship is the focus here at the barn. With extensive experience in groundwork and developing a bond with your horse, we strive to teach the essentials in reading your horse, knowing the innate nature of your horse and then translating that into manners both on the ground and in the saddle. This knowledge not only makes a better horse and rider, but more importantly, a better and safer team.

“From the Ground Up”
Abenaki Farm offers a six-week program called, From the Ground Up. This program is informative to everyone from the brand new horse person to the veteran. Reduced hourly rates are available for students who enroll in this 6-week program.

Training

Having a particularly tough issue with your horse or maybe you have a young one that needs a good start? Either way, the staff at Abenaki Farm & Stables can assist you. Whether it’s trouble trailer loading or picking up the correct lead, let us help you and your horse. We strongly recommend the training involve the owner/rider through all phases of training.

Arena Rental

Enjoy the refurbished footing in the spacious, airy and bright indoor arena to keep your horse (and you!) in shape all year. Get out of the weather and into shape by renting the arena hourly or take advantage of our monthly rentals!

Hay & Grain for Sale

We offer top-quality hay for sale here at the farm. Fine grass hay and timothy-grass mix hay are both available, giving your horses and animals consistent, quality and nutritious hay. Tested often, this is hay that you will never see left on the ground! And check out our Abenaki Feed page for more info on us as the newest Poulin Grain distributor in the area!

Horse Layover

Because our facility boasts expansive trailer parking and turnaround, just four minutes off Exit 28 from Interstate 93, Abenaki Farm is the ideal spot to put your horse up for one or even several nights. The stalls are comfortable, airy and clean. Layover includes hay, water and turnout, if desired, plus use of all ammenities to give your horse the run, buck and roll he or she needs after a long journey. Rates are $30 per horse, per night. And for the weary driver, there are numerous clean and affordable lodging accomodations just minutes from the farm.
